At Vietnam Ecotourism, we highly recommend you to enjoy trekking in some stunning places that are less known to encourage community based tourism and responsible tourism:

 

1. Ha Giang Vietnam
Located in northeast of Vietnam, Ha Giang reveals its magnificence through rugged mountain ranges, cascading waterfalls, beautiful hamlets and disverse local culture. Though the accessiblity is limited but it ever worth. Most of the travellers who have travelled to Ha Giang before shares the same feeling of love to this area.
Some notes: it takes more than half day to reach Ha Giang by car.
Suggestion: trekking should vary from 4 days to 12 days and you should prepare well for the adoption of the homestay.

 

2. Ngoc Son - Ngo Luong
This sub-area of Cuc Phuong National park is no doubt an interesting destination for those who wish to see thick, green forest and Muong people. The trails here often leads you to secluded waterfalls where you can enjoy some natural pools and ends up by the great hospitality of local where your visits features their highlights. Your experience here is claimed as unlike.
Some notes: the best way is to take a private car to travel to Ngoc Son. You can also take local bus but check with the local tour operator
Suggestion: the project is new but very well managed. The homestay are quite good here

 

3. Phong Nha National Park
Except for the main attraction nearby Son river, the remainder of Phong Nha Ke Bang is less visited by domestic tourists, hence you can enjoy the authenticity of the area in the best way. You can easily combine your trek, raft and bike in a beautiful way here. Phong Nha offers you more than just primitive forests, incredible sceneries but also many awesome caves and many relics from ancient era.
Some notes: taking the train to Dong Hoi and bus to Phong Nha is the greenest way to travel to Phong Nha
Suggestion: travel out of the domestic tourism season 

 

4. Muong Khuong & Bac Ha - Lao Cai
The dramatic landscapes filled by river valleys, charming villages and colorful hill tribal market surprise you for every trekking day in the area. The area is really out of tourist path and is promised to bring you the highlights of northern Vietnam.
